Top UK Design Award for Welsh Housing Development

Seren Group's Cefn Glas project recently won the title of 'Best Independent Living Scheme' in the national Healthcare Design Awards. This Blackwood-based 'indoor village' housing scheme features a restaurant, shop and beauty salon, providing older people with a friendly and traditional neighbourhood, and around the clock specialist care and support.
Don and Lyn Cuff, 88 and 85 respectively, were the first residents to move into the facility, and commented: “Cefn Glas has provided us with the sense of community and belonging as well as any care and support we've needed. We really enjoy the freedom Cefn Glas offers us”.
