Constitution
With the exception of Gwent Homes and Pen yr Enfys, all members of the Seren Group are Charitable Industrial and Provident Societies. Gwent Homes is a non charitable Industrial and Provident Society and Pen yr Enfys is a registered charity. The Group as a whole is not for profit, meaning that any surpluses are reinvested in the Group's activities.
All Group Members, with the exception Pen yr Enfys, are registered with the Welsh Assembly Government, as Registered Social Landlords, although the Group is independent and is not connected with local and central government.
Activities
The Seren Group operates predominantly in South East Wales. Our work, to date, has mainly concentrated on four Boroughs in the former county of Gwent, namely Newport, Caerphilly, Torfaen and Monmouthshire. The Group has expanded its area of operation into Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, as well as providing keyworker accommodation under PFI in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
More details of our services, and those of other Group Members, are provided in this site.
